Lottery Singapore

Lottery Singapore (Private) Limited is a state-owned lottery subsidiary company. Founded on 23 May 1968, it is the sole legal lottery operator in Singapore. It operates three lottery games – Toto, 4D, and Singapore Sweep. It also generates funding for social and charitable causes.

About the Company

The company was incorporated to curb illegal gambling in Singapore, which was rampant at the time. It was established to ensure that people could legally gamble on lotteries without fear of getting caught in a criminal act.

In addition to running three different lotteries, Singapore Pools also operates 300 outlets throughout the island where ticket purchases can be made and prizes paid out. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tote Board, a statutory body under the Ministry of Finance.

Singapore Pools operates the country’s three main lottery games – Toto, 4D, and Singapore Sweep. Each of these games has multiple tiers of cash prizes that are determined by the rank of numbers drawn.

Toto is a lottery game where players choose six numbers from a pool of 1 to 49. The prize varies depending on the amount raised during a draw. The jackpot is typically a million dollars, but it can be much higher.

It is important to be aware of the rules and regulations in order to play the lottery safely. It is also recommended to buy a variety of tickets with different number combinations in order to improve your chances of winning.
